April 27, 2008 Pitchfork Hearts Sissy Wish Lately it seems those uber-hip indie music czars at Pitchfork can't help touting bands just as Kirksvillain is bringing them to town. This time it's a stellar write-up of Bergen, Norway's Sissy Wish, who play The DuKum Upp this Saturday, March 22 (with Come to Japan). The upshot: "She wants to dance, damnit, and she wants you dancing with her." Advance Tickets available at Washington St. Java Co. and Vintage Grooves (the vinyl and CD shop across from the Kirksville Post Office). March 17, 2008 Help Wisely Wisely, who's played a couple of great gigs here at the DuKum, is gunning for a spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
